About the position
The Aerospace Systems Engineer 5 position involves leading the planning, design, development, and verification of complex systems and solutions in the aerospace sector. The role requires a collaborative approach to ensure that all system performance requirements are met and that various technical parameters are integrated effectively. The engineer will also conduct analyses to optimize system architecture and ensure compliance with safety, reliability, and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead the evaluation of customer and operational needs to define system performance requirements.
- Integrate technical parameters and ensure compatibility of all physical, functional, and program interfaces.
- Conduct analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture.
- Perform analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory compliance, certification, product assurance, and other specialty quality factors.
- Lead, develop, maintain, and identify improvements in the planning, organization, implementation, and monitoring of requirements management processes.
Requirements
- Detailed knowledge of ARP4754 and experience applying it to aerospace vehicle development.
- Proficiency in requirement development, management, and analysis using DOORS.
- Expertise in operational and functional analysis.
