About The Position

The Aerospace Structural Welder will utilize hand-welding, flame-cutting, hand-soldering, or brazing equipment to weld or join metal components or to fill holes, indentations, or seams of fabricated metal products. This position is critical in ensuring the structural integrity of aerospace components in a military aviation maintenance environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience in DOD military aviation maintenance in the last ten (10) years.
  • At least three (3) years' experience in aeronautical welding in an aviation maintenance environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and working level skills in aviation and aerospace welding, and structures sheet metal and fabrication.
  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Graduate of a school equivalent to Navy A and/or C school or Certificate of Welding.

Responsibilities

  • Use hand-welding, flame-cutting, hand-soldering, or brazing equipment to weld or join metal components.
  • Fill holes, indentations, or seams of fabricated metal products.
  • Follow Military Specifications 1595 for materials including Steel, Stainless Steel, and Aluminum.
