About The Position

Eaton’s IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Aerospace Solderer - 1st Shift. The hours for this role are 7 am - 3:30 pm. The hourly range for this position is $24-$30 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. The Solderer (White Room) is responsible for soldering and reworking very small and intricate products. The ideal candidate will have exceptional hand dexterity along with a working knowledge in reading, interpreting, and utilizing technical procedures and blueprints. The individual must be comfortable working in a team environment. This position is well suited for a patient individual who is a fast learner, focused on quality output, and enjoys working in a demanding atmosphere.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of soldering experience.
  • Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. This means that Eaton will not support any CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F-1 to H-1B, H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, I-485 job portability, etc.
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
  • High level of dexterity
  • Ability to follow written instructions, visual aids, sketches and blueprints.
  • Ability to work using a microscope for long periods of time.
  • Ability to successfully solder to the acceptability requirements of J-STD-001

Responsibilities

  • Solder electro-mechanical components under a microscope and/or a magnifying glass.
  • Assemble, setup and maintain tooling.
  • Recommend design and process improvements to enhance manufacturability.
  • Perform visual inspection of parts.
  • Maintain quality records.
  • Interpret customer and supplier requirements.
