About The Position

The Aerospace Production Technician (Welder) at United Launch Alliance (ULA) is responsible for performing various welding tasks, including GTAW welding, spot welding, and seam welding of stainless steel components. This role is crucial in supporting ULA's mission of successful space launches, requiring a commitment to safety and quality in a team-oriented environment. The position offers two shift options, allowing flexibility for employees while ensuring operational efficiency.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years of related work experience in a welding-fitting/machine environment.
• Ability to read and comprehend blueprints and detailed written work instructions.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, and climbing.

Nice To Haves

• CNC Machining, Cutting and Welding System experience.
• Manual weld experience in GTAW DCSP Stainless Steel Welding.
• GTAW welding certification per AWS D17.1 or equivalent.
• Experience in Resistance Spot Welding Stainless Steel.

Responsibilities

• Perform GTAW welding, spot welding, and seam welding of CRES stainless steel skin segments and brackets.
• Work in a maintained clean environment.
• Interpret standard work instructions and maintain assigned work areas.
• Comply with all safety rules and ensure equipment is used according to established safety and operating procedures.
