The Production Supervisor is a leadership role that emphasizes professional behaviors and personal accountability. The supervisor is responsible for promoting a safe work environment and coordinating with other areas to meet production goals. This includes ensuring that equipment is in proper working order, providing accurate and timely information regarding performance, and meeting both long and short-range plans. The supervisor must ensure that materials and supplies are available to execute daily plans and maintain a clean, organized work environment by following, enforcing, and supporting 5S principles. Responsibilities also include assigning and executing daily and weekly production schedules, reinforcing adherence to standards through coaching and routine follow-up, and ensuring that staff receives adequate training for their assigned operations. The supervisor will complete corrective actions to improve the area, communicate and document performance with employees, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. Additionally, the supervisor will provide timely performance feedback to management, score favorably in compliance audits, ensure compliance with quality requirements, resolve performance and disciplinary issues in coordination with Human Resources, and interact with customers as needed. Other tasks may be assigned as necessary.
