The Process & Project Engineer is a highly motivated, solution-oriented, and customer-driven individual responsible for leading technical projects, process improvements, and new capability onboarding. The position bridges engineering, quality, and operations, with a focus on capital project execution, process optimization, automation, and integration of new customer programs. The role involves capturing productivity and cost savings while improving the speed of workflow and reducing ergonomic risks for employees.

  • Lead and manage cross-functional engineering projects, including new process/product onboarding, facility expansions, and automation initiatives.
  • Develop and optimize process flows and equipment layouts for Plating, Anodize, Paint, NDT, Shot Peen/Blast, Polish, and Packaging operations.
  • Automate data collection, analysis, and reporting through database systems.
  • Drive Productivity initiatives to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and increase throughput.
  • Provide technical troubleshooting support for plating and finishing processes.
  • Collaborate with customers and suppliers on new process qualifications and product launches.
  • Mentor production and quality staff in process knowledge and best practices.
  • Standardize and document processes to ensure consistency and repeatability of best practices.
  • Influence collaboration across departments to enhance cost savings and implement productivity initiatives.
  • Support facility quality systems, ensuring compliance with Nadcap, AS9100, AMS, ASTM, MIL, and customer-specific requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Material Sciences, or related field.
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience in manufacturing or process engineering.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling (SolidWorks/CATIA preferred).
  • Experience with ERP systems (Infor Syteline a plus).
  • Advanced MS Excel skills for data analysis; Power BI knowledge is a plus.
  • Familiarity with 3D printing preferred.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making abilities with a focus on customer service.
  • Self-motivated and adaptable to a changing environment with a sense of urgency.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (Export license required for non-U.S. persons).
  • Aerospace or metal/surface finishing experience is preferred.
