Amazon Leo is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world. The Aerospace Manufacturing Engineer Manager will lead FIRST SHIFT assembly, integration and test flows for space hardware builds . This individual will work closely with and manage engineering and manufacturing teams to offload, health check, and propellant load Amazon Leo satellites. The Aerospace Manufacturing Engineer Manager is a technical leader of the team, providing guidance on many aspects including but not limited to testing requirements, assembly/integration workcell design within the payload processing facilities, facility and equipment planning, integration and test application implementation and improvement, process control, design for manufacturability, project management, and tooling design. The ideal candidate is comfortable in a highly technical setting and leads collaboration with other departments to reach the best solution to any problem and is able to technically challenge assumptions and requirements of these departments, such as dynamics and thermal analysis, design engineering, and tooling engineering. Additionally, the Aerospace Manufacturing Engineer Manager is expected to set objectives for the team overall, not only identifying the right long term strategies but implementing them on their assemblies and responsibilities, leading by example first and then by instruction. They'll have extensive experience in space hardware integration and test, with particular focus on satellite to dispenser and/or launch vehicle integration.
