About The Position

The Aerospace Logistics & Inventory Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of shipping, receiving, inventory control, and stockroom operations with a specialized focus on aircraft windows. This role includes close collaboration with the sales team to manage product allocation, and overseeing import/export compliance related to aerospace components. You will ensure efficient logistics workflows, accurate inventory management within the CMS, adherence to regulatory requirements, and continuous improvement through data-driven performance monitoring. This role will sit out of our Sylmar, CA facility and report to the Purchasing & Logistics Manager.

Requirements

  • Only U.S. Citizens, Green Card holders, and political asylees or refugees are eligible to apply
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field required
  • 7+ years' experience in a manufacturing or distribution organization
  • 7+ years of leadership experience
  • Aerospace experience strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with import/export regulations, including ITAR, EAR, and customs compliance related to aerospace components
  • CPIM Certification is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily shipping and receiving operations to ensure timely accurate processing of inbound and outbound shipments, with attention to aircraft windows and related aerospace components.
  • Coordinate scheduling and communication with carriers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers.
  • Manage the management team responsible for CMS & stockroom operations, including inventory control, stock replenishment, and organization of chemicals, floor stock, and related materials.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records within the CMS & stockrooms, ensuring data integrity and real-time visibility.
  • Work closely with the sales team to manage product allocation based on customer demand, order priority, and inventory availability.
  • Support sales forecasting and planning by providing accurate inventory data and lead times.
  • Oversee import and export processes for aircraft windows, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.
  • Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and regulatory agencies to facilitate smooth cross-border shipments.
  • Develop, manage, and monitor KPIs related to shipping accuracy, on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, stock turnover, and order fulfillment rates.
  • Lead, train, and supervise stockroom and logistics personnel, promoting a culture of safety, accuracy, and efficiency.
