PPG Aerospace has a job opening for an Aerospace Global Process Engineer as part of our growing Aerospace Science and Technology (S&T) team, supporting new product introduction. As a hybrid role, you will be able to work remotely and partially based on-site in Mojave, CA. You will report directly to the Global Process Engineering Manager.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or related field
• At least five (5) years of experience in process engineering or related engineering discipline
• Strong understanding of chemical processes, equipment, and safety standards
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges
• Experience in Lean, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies preferred
• Prior experience in sealant or adhesives manufacturing preferred
• Must be a US Citizen

Responsibilities

• Lead product scale up and process optimization efforts to support new product launches
• Collaborate with S&T, platform, supply chain, and operations to ensure seamless integration of new processes and products
• Facilitate FMEAs to de-risk and improve designs and processes and promote continuous improvement
• Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness
• Identify and trial new technologies to improve existing processes and support innovation
• Assist in creation and improvement of global process engineering team processes
• Support feasibility testing and qualifications for new equipment installations
• Understand, promote, and adhere to Process Safety Management (PSM) requirements
• Understand and comply with PPG and aerospace quality and EH&S policies, as well as any relevant customer-specific requirements
