About The Position

Avion Solutions Inc., an employee-owned company, is seeking candidates for an Aerospace Engineer to support PEO Aviation. This position is located in Huntsville, AL.
Job Responsibilities/Duties:
Lead and manage aviation acquisition programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and timelines.
Provide technical oversight and guidance in structures, propulsion, and/or dynamic components.
Develop, review, and manage SOWs to ensure clarity and alignment with program requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support airworthiness certification and aviation testing efforts.
Apply systems engineering principles to integrate and optimize program components.
Support MBSE initiatives to enhance program efficiency and effectiveness.
Ensure compliance with aviation regulations, standards, and policies.
Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including government and industry partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5-10 years of experience in aviation acquisition program management (Army preferred; Navy or Air Force acceptable).
• Strong technical knowledge in structures, propulsion, and/or dynamic components.
• Thorough understanding of systems engineering principles, airworthiness certification processes, aviation testing, and SOW development.
• Proven leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with MBSE tools and methodologies.
• Familiarity with Army aviation acquisition programs and processes.
