About The Position

In this role, you will correlate aerospace propulsion engineering theories and practices with DOD or DON policies and procedures to effectively plan and execute projects. You will be responsible for presenting ideas both orally and in writing, negotiating with program managers, and gathering, assimilating, and organizing critical elements of technically complex information from diverse sources. Balancing immediate and long-range objectives of aircraft programs will be essential, as well as managing the diverse requirements of a complex propulsion engineering project while considering customer support needs and negotiating with various sponsors for available resources.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
  • New employees to the Department of the Navy must pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
  • Current federal employees must meet time-in-grade requirements.
  • Retired military members must comply with provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • Must obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance.
  • Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • Position may require travel to CONUS and OCONUS, including remote or isolated sites.
