For more information about the GameBird and our company, visit our website game.aero. As an Aerospace Design Engineer I, you will be responsible for designing general aviation components and systems. You will contribute to projects involving both existing type-certified aircraft in production and new aircraft in development. Using your education and early career experience, you will ensure that aircraft are designed and constructed in alignment with company, industry, and regulatory standards. This role is hands-on, collaborative, and offers the opportunity to grow your engineering expertise while directly impacting the safety, performance, and innovation of our aircraft.

  • Design components, sub-assemblies, and systems relative to general aviation aircraft. This involves generating concepts, developing designs, validating assumptions and data, creating 3D drawings, testing designs, and gaining relevant approvals.
  • Create, issue, and revise certification programs, test plans, and reports.
  • Issue and update compliance documents and reports.
  • Collaborate with the Aircraft Certification Office (ACO) on major change approvals and provide regular status updates to Lead and Principal Engineers.
  • Maintain the change register and conduct design audits with the ACO.
  • Work with FAA and foreign regulators on type certificate validations.
  • Using SolidWorks, create, modify, and update engineering drawings for both individual components and large, complex assemblies in accordance with company procedure manuals.
  • Collaborate with the production team to improve product quality, production efficiency, and workplace safety.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in aerospace design or manufacturing.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in the English language.
  • Proficient with 3D modeling software, preferably SolidWorks.
  • Ability to follow a structured design and certification process.
  • Composite design and fabrication experience.
  • Lean Manufacturing knowledge.
  • Knowledge of standard aviation fasteners and AN hardware.
  • High intellectual curiosity, entrepreneurial, creative thinker and problem-solver, fast learner, with demonstrated initiative.
  • High level of maturity and ability to work in a team setting or independently.
