About The Position

The Aerospace Cabinet Builder II position involves skilled craftsmanship in the aerospace industry, focusing on the assembly and fabrication of cabinets and components based on engineering specifications. The role requires a strong understanding of materials, tools, and safety practices to ensure high-quality production and compliance with industry standards.

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of experience in the Aerospace Industry.
  • Identify and operate proper Hand and Power tools for the task assigned.
  • Ability to identify application characteristics of adhesives and epoxies.
  • Correctly label parts for re-assembling and building shop aids.
  • Fabricate small sheet metal parts (angles, clips, brackets, etc.).
  • Ability to manufacture items needed for final assembly adjustments (shims, blocks, etc.).
  • Ability to climb and work on step stools and ladders. Read measuring instruments.
  • Must be able to pass drug testing and background screening.

Responsibilities

  • Reads, interprets engineering drawings and analyzes customer specification documents.
  • Bonds hinge blocks into panels, sets doors, drawers, etc.
  • Fabrics hardwood bullnose corian countertops.
  • Prepares kerf and fiberglass panels and applies adhesives and epoxies to materials.
  • Builds drawers and cabinets on significant monuments.
  • Applies and works with veneer on the product.
  • Lays out and routes for switches, cup holders & inlays and installs inlays.
  • Lays out and cuts materials on the table saw.
  • Operates CNC and PIN router.
  • Wears safety equipment as required and practices safety guidelines/procedures, including Hazardous Materials guidelines.
