Requirements

  • High School Diploma/HSE strongly preferred
  • Good communication skills and good math skills required.
  • Must have proven ability in all aspects of production technician and knowledge of all other procedures in Henkel, Geneva, Packaging department.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability.
  • The position is in the factory and could involve standing, walking and lifting for long periods of time throughout the day.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 25 pounds.
  • Good manual dexterity needed.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain production equipment safely, including setup, minor adjustments, changeovers, and repairs according to manufacturing specifications.
  • Monitor and ensure product quality, collect and deliver samples, and address any issues impacting production objectives, machine performance, or output quality.
  • Maintain accurate records of production, efficiency, inventory, and quality; keypunch data into systems and verify accuracy of barcodes and warehouse receipts.
  • Coordinate and support team operations, including manpower and material assignments, training and orienting staff, and promoting cleanliness and safety in the work area.
  • Communicate and escalate issues promptly to supervisors, including equipment problems, quality concerns, personnel matters, and inventory discrepancies.
