Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in Palmdale, CA is seeking a Aeronautical Engineer Intern for Propulsion & PTMS. In this role, you will research, define, analyze, develop, design, provide technical supplier management, test, and qualify mechanical and fluid systems to support power & thermal management systems. Includes design and test of high-speed turbomachinery such as compressors and turbines; fuel supply and combustion to support mechanical power for turbomachinery; and PTMS electrical power generation & management. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of Bachelor's degree in Aero or Mechanical Engineering with coursework in Thermodynamics and Computer Aided Design (CAD). Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical/Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering. Physics majors with coursework in Thermodynamics will also be considered.
  • Propulsion, Physics, and Thermal/Mechanics Coursework
  • Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance.
  • This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

  • Ability to develop clear technical presentations for customers and suppliers.
  • Microsoft Office Skills - of particular importance: Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Project.
  • CATIA or SolidWorks Experience
