Aeronautical Survey Planner
About The Position
Will work with NGS and FAA to understand their strategic goals and the relationships between the organizations to include regulations, specifications, and standards related to aeronautical surveys. Job duties include: Conduct field survey planning, flight line layout, imagery review, data archiving, aero triangulation, compilation, quality control, product production, printing, and distribution. Responsible for processing field collected data and determining weather airfields meet necessary safety standards. Document changes to runways and ensure the accuracy of airfields' geoid models. Assist in developing strategic plans and concepts and keeps abreast of new technologies and methods. Become a recognized expert in the professional aeronautical survey community in methodologies, techniques, and GIS fields.
Requirements
- 0-8 years of relevant experience using Esri ArcGIS Suite, Python and databases.
- Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work with sensitive or classified data.
- Must be a US Citizen or a Permanent Resident and be able to pass a Public Trust background investigation to obtain a security badge to enter the applicable government facility.
