Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a 2026 Summer Intern Service Life Analysis Engineer. In this role, you will conduct durability and damage tolerance analysis, perform structural analysis to support fleet management, and use analysis tools to perform design sizing and prepare reports. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of programming languages such as MatLab, Python, or VBA, as well as experience with CAD or CAE applications. Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical, Aerospace, or Civil Engineering
  • Experience with programming languages such as MatLab, VBA, Visual Studio, or Python
  • Must be a US Citizen ; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with CAD or CAE applications
  • Previous internship/co-op experience within the Aerospace industry
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
