About The Position

Space is a critical domain, connecting our technologies, our security and our humanity. While others view space as a destination, we see it as a realm of possibilities, where we can do more - we can innovate, invest, inspire and integrate our capabilities to transform the future. At Lockheed Martin Space, we aim to harness the full potential of space to cultivate innovation, reduce costs, and push the boundaries of what technology can achieve. We're creating future-ready solutions, focusing on resiliency and urgency through our 21st Century Security vision. We're erasing boundaries and forming partnerships across industries and around the world. We're advancing spacecraft and the workforce to fuel the next generation. And we're reimagining how space can connect us, ensuring security and prosperity. Join us in shaping a new era in space and find a career that's built for you. The Strategic Programs (SP) are experiencing significant growth and we need your expertise to deliver amazing new technologies to our customers. If you have a passion for working on emerging technologies Lockheed Martin Space has opportunities that will pique your interest including sophisticated Hypersonic Technology, Glide Body Strike technology, and other key technology insertions. The early design and engineering phase provides you with tremendous career growth potential along with important assignments to stretch and hone your expertise. This is a rare opportunity to work closely alongside our Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) partners to field a number of future strategic systems that the nation urgently needs. Ready for a challenge at the speed of Hypersonics? Come join Lockheed Martin Space's Flight Sciences team in support of the Conventional Prompt Strike (CPS) Program (and more!) as an Aero/Hydro Engineer. The CPS system will travel at hypersonic velocities. Building a system that goes that fast means overcoming a number of difficult physics and engineering challenges. As an Aero/Hydro Engineer you will integrate hypersonic, submarine launched, missile technology into a naval weapon system on a highly accelerated schedule to deliver a hypersonic operational prototype system to the Warfighter. Lockheed Martin's CPS system will be capable of flying at several times the speed of sound and will provide a timely response to varying threat scenarios. If this intrigues you, come join our team supporting the CPS Program.
