Requirements

  • Component level aero/marine/industrial power gas turbine design experience.
  • Ability to read/interpret drawings including understanding of GD&T.
  • Reviewing engineering assessments, tolerance stacks, engineering change/deviations, repairs.
  • Applying Quality Requirements / Assessing hardware / Interpreting inspection data.
  • Presenting technical data/results to customer and regulatory representatives.
  • Knowledge of modern high tech manufacturing processes and associated support equipment.
  • Interaction with MRP systems (Oracle/SAP/CAPP/Solumina).
  • BSAE / BSME (required).

Nice To Haves

  • 7+ years of Gas Turbine Engine component level Design Engineer experience.
  • MRB (Material Review Board) and/or Non-Conformance evaluation experience.
  • Engineering Signatory responsibilities.
  • Quality Engineering experience / conveyable knowledge.
  • Other Quality Certifications.
  • Service Provider mindset.
  • Self-motivated, disciplined, and organized.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Review and disposition Non-Conforming Material (parts), Deviation Requests, and Waivers from OEM and supply base.
  • Review fit, form, function, interchangeability, health, safety, intended use, weight, appearance and classification based on provided/requested technical information.
  • Interact technically with Design Authority as needed.
  • Determine/review part repair requirements or usage parameters.
  • Obtain and hold 'Certified MRE' (Material Review Engineer) status.
  • Conduct other typical design/design support engineering activities.
  • Support business growth through daily work/interactions.
