We are currently seeking highly qualified applicants to work at ABSI’s production facility located in California, MD. This position will report to the Production Manager. The Aerial Target Assembler performs component assembly, final product assembly and packaging for a variety of aerial targets ranging from quad-copter style targets to fixed wing targets. Additionally, the assembler will work with developers to prototype new targets and may assist the operations team in conducting target flight operations. Successful candidate should have good communication skills and be adaptable to a highly dynamic environment. Knowledge and experience with basic assembly of mechanical and/or electronics is highly desired for a successful candidate. Experience with Small UAS or remotely controlled aircraft is desired.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Experience in assembling mechanical and/or electronic equipment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and web-based collaborative resources such as SharePoint and Microsoft Teams

Nice To Haves

  • Associates degree
  • Experience with Small UAS or Remote Controlled Aircraft
  • Experience soldering electronic components
  • Familiarity with software coding

Responsibilities

  • Assemble components of aerial target systems
  • Conduct final assembly of aerial target systems
  • Package aerial target systems
  • Coordinate with the development team to produce prototype systems
  • Conduct periodic maintenance of manufacturing equipment
  • Periodically provide support to the flight operations team
  • Perform other duties as assigned
