About The Position
The Aerial Lift Trimmer is a crucial role within Kendall Vegetation Services, primarily responsible for the trimming, pruning, and removal of trees using specialized equipment such as bucket trucks. This position requires adherence to safety practices and rules, ensuring that all operations are conducted in a safe and efficient manner. The Aerial Lift Trimmer will assist in preparing the necessary tools and materials for daily tasks as directed by the General Foreperson, and will engage in professional tree maintenance activities as required. In this role, the Aerial Lift Trimmer will be tasked with clearing and trimming trees and brush that may interfere with utility lines, as well as removing branches and other tree materials. A significant part of the job involves cleaning up and disposing of debris generated during these activities. The Aerial Lift Trimmer is expected to maintain and keep track of all tools and equipment used in daily operations, ensuring they are in good working condition. Continuous improvement of climbing and tree maintenance skills is essential, and the Trimmer must be ready to assist other crew members in various aspects of daily activities. Safety is paramount in this position; therefore, the Aerial Lift Trimmer must safeguard both employees and the public from hazards in and around the work area. This includes enforcing safe job practices, maintaining a clean and orderly work area, and ensuring frequent communication with co-workers. The role may also involve performing duties related to storm work as needed, which may require travel out of town for storm restoration efforts.
