We are seeking Aerial Groundhands to join our team in Williams Bay, WI. In this role as a Groundhand you will install and/or repair aerial cable tv (CTV) coaxial and fiber cable as well as place, relocate, and remove poles, lines, open wire, drops and block wires. This is an entry level position, experience a plus but not required, making this position a great way to gain your introduction into the telecom industry!

Requirements

  • Telecommunications construction experience a plus
  • Ability to travel daily, open to a variety of schedules, participate in on-call evenings and weekends as needed
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
  • Ability to lift and carry 70lbs consistently
  • Ability to complete tasks with small components and wires
  • Ability to complete work outdoors, in tight spaces and elevated by bending, reaching, twisting, climbing, and working while standing up to 70% of the time
  • Ability to safely work and navigate various terrains, managing equipment, safety equipment and tools
  • Must provide a valid government-issued photo ID for verification; a driver’s license is required if the role involves driving
  • Passing of all pre-employment requirements (MVR, Background Check, Drug Screen)

Responsibilities

  • Install and/or repair aerial cable tv (CTV) coaxial and fiber cable
  • Place, relocate and remove poles, lines, open wire, drops and block wires to maintain efficient operation of the customer’s facilities
  • Set up safety perimeter using signage, cones, and safety barriers
  • Direct traffic in accordance with local Department of Transportation (DOT) guidelines as necessary
  • Complete additional tasks, such as underground work, as needed
  • Strive to provide the best customer experience every day
  • Other duties as assigned
