About The Position
Job Summary: The Aerial Fiber Groundman will work with ADSS fiber. Applicants should be familiar with telecommunications lines, bucket trucks, poles, and their functions. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Complete aerial fiber optic construction using ADSS fiber. Use tools, equipment, and ladders to complete projects. Perform additional duties as assigned. Complete daily cup sheets documenting work performed. Clean and maintain all supplies and equipment.
Requirements
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, background check, and motor vehicle record check.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Proficient with lineman tools and equipment.
- Ability to read construction prints.
- Proficient in telecom construction equipment (e.g., Aerial Lifts, Dozers, Lashers, Meters, Plows).
- Able to climb poles safely.
- Ability to work safely, supervised or unsupervised.
- Capability to work standing, at shoulder height and overhead, for extended periods.
- Excellent manual dexterity.
- Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Understand and operate aerial lift devices, lashers, and hand tools.
