About The Position

Aerial Drop Technician I shall possess the ability to hang drop fiber from pole to home. At a minimum, you must have a good working knowledge of telecommunications construction; familiarity with telecommunications lines, bucket trucks, and poles and the functionality of each; ability to use cable placement equipment and tools; ability to identify and troubleshoot problems.

Requirements

• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen, background, and motor vehicle record check.
• Excellent manual dexterity.
• Have the ability to work well with others.
• Have the ability to climb poles
• The ability to work safely, with or without supervision.
• The ability to work standing, at shoulder height and overhead, for extended periods.
• The ability to lift and manipulate lasher and other cable placement equipment.
• The ability to follow instructions and communicate verbally and in writing.
• The ability to fully understand and operate equipment, including but not limited to an aerial lift device, lasher, and hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Completion of aerial fiber optic drops.
• Use of tools, equipment, and ladders to complete a project.
• Additional duties as assigned.
• Clean and maintain all supplies and equipment.
• Maintain quality construction practices.
