Job Overview The primary duty for this role is direct patient care in the 911 EMS setting. The AEMT provides care at the Advanced Life Support level as defined by the West Virginia Office of Emergency Medical Services in the treatment of acutely ill or injured patients. The AEMT can independently treat and transport higher acuity patients in the absence of Paramedic care. There are two schedule options for this position, a permanent shift assignment with a 24/48 rotation and a Kelly day every 7 days or a float position that is not assigned to a permanent shift, working a combination of 12- and 24-hour shifts. Both schedules are guaranteed 48 hours per week.
