About The Position

Blue Acorn iCi is hiring an AEM Backend Developer to join our team supporting enterprise-level digital experience initiatives. This role will focus on building and maintaining scalable web solutions using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and related technologies within a collaborative Agile environment. This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days per week onsite in Irving, Texas.

Requirements

  • 8–10 years of professional experience working with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).
  • Strong backend development experience using Java, J2EE, Sling, JCR, and Spring.
  • Hands-on experience developing AEM backend components such as services, schedulers, filters, and workflows.
  • Experience working with AEM Content-as-a-Service (CaaS) and GraphQL.
  • Experience integrating AEM with other enterprise systems.
  • Solid understanding of clean coding principles, collections, and enterprise Java development practices.
  • Experience with unit testing and maintaining code quality through test coverage.
  • Familiarity with AEM DAM and enterprise content delivery patterns.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy web application solutions using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and related technologies.
  • Build and maintain backend AEM components including services, schedulers, filters, and workflows.
  • Work with AEM DAM and Content-as-a-Service (CaaS) capabilities to support content delivery across platforms.
  • Develop integrations and backend services using Java, J2EE, Sling, and JCR.
  • Implement front-end integrations using Sightly/HTL, JavaScript, SCSS, and HTML where needed.
  • Develop and manage GraphQL APIs and support system monitoring and performance optimization.
  • Collaborate with product managers, QA engineers, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
  • Conduct code reviews and technical guidance to support development best practices.
  • Ensure maintainable code quality through unit testing and test coverage practices.
