About The Position

As a Training Specialist Senior with GDIT, you will develop, organize, and conduct training and educational programs for Fleet sailors in support of the Aegis Training and Readiness Center in Dahlgren, Virginia. This role requires the ability to conduct traditional classroom instruction and support tactical lab training. You will serve as an Expert Instructor to train CG/DDG sailors in the tactical employment of the latest Aegis Combat System and associated weapons systems, including system capabilities and limitations, mission planning and execution, and tactical communications. You will provide subject matter expertise in support of curriculum development for ATRC courses, conduct assessments of sailors' abilities, and document training conducted with specifics of individual areas and watch stations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a related technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• Seven (7) years of experience with the required system or process.
• Experience as a qualified TAO, Anti-Air Warfare Coordinator, or Combat System Coordinator.
• One (1) year of experience as an instructor in a Navy Training Environment.
• Experience interfacing with training systems/simulations.
• Experience as a qualified AWCC or Master/Afloat Training Specialist is a plus.

Nice To Haves

• Surface Warfare Tactics Instructor AQD is highly preferred.
