About The Position

This individual will be an AEGIS Fire Controlman subject matter expert/instructor as part of a multi-instructor workforce providing instruction as described below. This individual must have a minimum of three years instructing experience to include: comprehension of basic electronics with emphasis on electrical safety, types of test equipment and it’s use, and the Planned Maintenance System (PMS); organization, content, and use of the Combat Systems Operational Sequencing System (CSOSS); knowledge and fundamentals of equipment tag-outs and the tag-out system; comprehension of digital systems with emphasis on binary logic, logic gates, flip-flops, registers, and cabling; familiarization of Circuit Control Devices including relays, switches, and solenoids; knowledge of Interface Connecting Devices; introduction to AEGIS Combat Systems to include a general, physical, and operational description of AEGIS RADAR and weapon systems, non-AEGIS RADARs and weapon systems, and Combat Systems Support Equipment (CSSE); knowledge of AEGIS electronic water coolers (HD-1157/HD-1155/HD-1014) to include a general and physical description of the equipment, operation, and preventative and corrective maintenance; knowledge of the Air Control Panel to include a general and physical description of the equipment, operation, and preventative and corrective maintenance; knowledge of the Dry Air Distribution system to include a general and physical description, operation, and preventative and corrective maintenance; the theory and familiarization of the Air Removal Assembly; and the theory and familiarization of the Self-Reactivating Dehydrator. Methods of Instruction include audiovisual materials, classroom exercises, computer-based training, discussion, laboratory, lecture, and practical exercises. General course topics include AEGIS maintenance fundamental training for CSOSS, PMS, electrical safety, electrical and electronic components and numbering systems and the documentation, physical, functional, and interface description required to support all operation and maintenance of the AEGIS Auxiliary Equipment Methods of assessment include knowledge and performance tests. Additionally, the candidate should be an expert in the delivery of both classroom and practical lab instruction.

Requirements

  • Three Years’ Instructor Experience
