About The Position

Charged with enforcing all policies, Rules and Regulations, Architectural Control Standards, and Covenants and Restrictions. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Enforcement of all Rules and Regulations pertaining to the AECD. Enforcement of the Architectural Control Standards. Enforcement of the Covenants and Restrictions pertaining to the AECD. Accomplishing departmental objectives set forth by the POA Board of Directors. Answers inquiries from and advises property owners, builders, co-workers and others regarding compliance with Big Canoe regulations, property maintenance standards, and design standards; responds to citizen complaints regarding potential violations. Requirements

  • Familiarity and experience working with the following types of documents is preferred: Appropriate articles of the Amended and Restated General Declaration of Covenants and Restrictions as well as of the Class “A” and Class “B” Covenants.
  • The Architectural and Environmental Control Standards.
  • The Association’s “Rules and Regulations”.
  • General knowledge of personal computers and related software.
  • General knowledge of current management theory and good customer/public relations.
  • Ability to read and understand technical and legal documents relating to construction.
  • Ability to research and prepare correspondence and detailed written reports with recommendations.
  • Diploma/ GED required.
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Must be fluent in the English language.
  • Must work well under pressure and timelines.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Must be able to work outside in all types of weather.
  • Must be able to climb/descend steep slopes.
  • Must be able to professionally communicate both verbally and in writing to property owners, contractors, and county/state officials.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and comply with the company MVR requirements for internal insurance purposes.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen test.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with architectural drawings, code enforcement, general contractors and/or planning and zoning departments is ideal
  • Experience working with HOA/POA management, construction, or city/county management is strongly desired.
