About The Position

If you have a passion for community engagement, making a difference in the lives of young people, working with youth from 14 to 21 years of age, are self-motivated, and would like a flexible schedule the Advocate position is you. Status: Part Time Hourly FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt Summary of the Position: Hourly, part-time position involves serving youth and families in Yarmouth Maine. Ideal candidate will be dependable, committed, and able to serve as a positive role model for youth in community, school, and home settings. The Primary responsibilities of the Advocate are to initiate, organize, plan, develop and implement direct advocacy services to assigned participants and their families. All service plans will be based on a strength-based approach using the wrap around model. This position offers flexible hours, competitive weekly pay, mileage, and activity reimbursement.

Requirements

  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Prior experience in community work and knowledge of community resources.
  • Experience working with at-risk youth.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Reliable insured transportation, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance coverage.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR/First Aid certification
