About The Position

We are seeking passionate and dedicated Advocates to join our team. In this role, you will work directly with youth and families to provide guidance, support, and advocacy. You will help them navigate challenges, access resources, and achieve their goals. Status: Part Time Hourly FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt Summary of the Position: This is an hourly, part-time Advocate position serving youth and families throughout Livingston County. Applicant must be dependable, committed, and able to serve as a positive role model for youth in the community, school and home settings. The Primary responsibilities of the Advocate are to initiate, organize, plan, develop and implement direct advocacy services to assigned participants and their families. Develop and implement programs and activities that promote individual personal growth and community engagement. Collaborate with other professionals and organizations to coordinate services. All service plans will be based on a strength-based approach using the wrap around model. Maintain accurate records and documentation This position offers flexible hours, competitive weekly pay and activity reimbursement Hourly Rate: $19.00 per hour

Requirements

  • Minimum High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Experience in community work and knowledge of community resources.
  • Experience working with at-risk youth and families
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic computer skills
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current automobile insurance coverage is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual/Spanish speaking is a plus.
