About The Position

The Spring is adding new positions and we are currently looking for part time Advocate Support for Monday thru Friday from 10a-2pm
The Spring is a faith-based service provider committed to supporting survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and human trafficking. Through safe shelter and compassionate advocacy, we help survivors and their families build a life free from abuse.

Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Shelter Support Advocate to join our team. This role involves supporting shelter operations, answering crisis and business calls, monitoring facility traffic, and assisting guests with daily needs. You'll be a vital part of a team working to create a safe and healing environment for survivors and their children.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Oklahoma driver's license
• Willingness to sign and uphold The Spring's Statement of Faith
• Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills
• Compassionate, with a commitment to professional boundaries
• Confidentiality and ethical integrity in handling sensitive information
• Team-oriented with the ability to work independently
• Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office Suite)
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Reliable, calm under pressure, and attentive to detail
• Must be able to pass a 7-year background check. Any job offer will be based on the results of the background testing. A felony does not automatically exclude you from consideration.

Responsibilities

• Respond to calls on crisis and business lines
• Interview prospective guests by phone or in person
• Monitor shelter entry/exit of guests and visitors
• Assist with administrative documentation and guest charting
• Support guest needs and help respond to emergencies
• Help prepare meals and transport guests as needed
• Assist with children's activities and family support
• Attend relevant training on domestic violence, sexual assault, and trafficking
