Optum Insight is dedicated to improving the flow of health data and information to create a more connected system, reducing friction and driving alignment between care providers, payers, and consumers. Their deep industry expertise and innovative technology help organizations reduce costs while improving risk management, quality, and revenue growth. The Advisory Services Consultant (EDS) is part of the Optum Advisory - Enterprise Delivery Services (EDS) consulting practice, a rapidly growing business that provides on-demand access to consulting talent with unparalleled experience, premium customer care, and flexible contracting. This allows clients to focus on core capabilities and create an agile workforce that scales with business demands. EDS consultants are responsible for delivering defined outcomes across complex enterprise initiatives, owning execution from planning through delivery in partnership with client leadership. Engagements are delivered through structured consulting delivery models tailored to client needs, scope, and organizational maturity. Consultants support both internal teams within UnitedHealth Group and external commercial clients in areas such as Project and Program Management, Agile-based roles, Business Analysis, Product Management, Process Improvement, Change Management, Quality Assurance, Data Analysis and Reporting, Communications, and Training. Limited travel (less than 25% on average over a year, potentially Monday through Thursday for multiple concurrent weeks) may be required. Consultants not local to an Optum office work from a home office when not at the client site. The role offers flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S., though hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area are required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.
