About the Team The Enterprise Account Manager - Southeast will be joining a high-energy sales team at Nutanix, focused on driving growth and success within the southeastern United States. This team is characterized by a culture of high activity, innovation, and collaboration, placing a strong emphasis on talent assessment and performance. The mission of the team is to manage a diverse account base, leverage existing channel relationships, and identify new business opportunities to foster substantial growth in the region. You will report to the Hiring Manager, who embraces an attentive leadership style, valuing the history of success and achievement of team members. The work setup for this role is remote, offering flexibility while maintaining a high level of engagement with the team. There will be no mandatory in-office days, allowing you the freedom to manage your schedule effectively. This role will require basic travel, primarily within the assigned territory, to build relationships with clients and partners, conduct meetings, and attend industry events or conferences as needed. The ability to travel occasionally will enable you to strengthen connections and drive sales initiatives effectively.

Requirements

  • Experience in storage, virtualization, and modern applications, particularly containers and Kubernetes
  • Strong existing channel relationships and ability to leverage them for sales opportunities
  • High activity level with a proven history of achieving or exceeding sales targets
  • Adaptability and quick success transition in new roles
  • Ability to generate leads independently in white space territories
  • Strong understanding of industry trends in storage and virtualization
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work within a team
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field

Responsibilities

  • Manage a territory with approximately 30 accounts, focusing on existing customers and new business opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, particularly in white space areas.
  • Engage in high activity sales efforts to generate leads and opportunities independently.
  • Utilize and expand existing channel relationships to drive sales and enhance market presence.
  • Assess account performance regularly and identify upsell opportunities to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Collaborate with team members on account management strategies and share insights for targeting key accounts.
  • Stay updated on industry trends in storage, virtualization, and modern applications to inform sales strategies.
  • Aim to achieve rapid ramp-up in productivity, demonstrating consistent performance and adaptability in the role.
