Infrastructure Planning, Partnerships and Compliance helps achieve our mission of "Providing Clean Water for Life" by protecting and managing our water resources, planning new water and wastewater infrastructure to meet growth demands, asset management planning to maintain the existing $26 Billion infrastructure in a state of good repair, planning and supporting water and wastewater regulatory compliance and quality management systems. We build and manage strategic partnerships with the Local Municipalities, Ontario Clean Water Agency, Conservation Authorities, and other municipalities and external agencies. This position is responsible for supporting the Program Manager in all aspects of strategic water and wastewater linear transmission, sub-transmission, trunk sewer pipes and appurtenances planning and integrated asset management, helping to advise, plan and guide various projects and initiatives that are undertaken by the section. This position will review and provide input and recommendations for linear water and wastewater transmission, sub-transmission, trunk sewer pipes, appurtenances long-term renewal and replacement plans, inspection strategy, financial plans, business plans, processes and strategies. In particular, the position is responsible for developing and compiling the linear water and wastewater transmission, sub-transmission, trunk sewer pipes, appurtenances capital budget planning in coordination with water/wastewater engineering, condition assessment team and operations teams. This position will also provide strategic and expert advice for optimization of inspection programs. This position is a resource for the section and the divisions on all aspects related to linear appurtenances infrastructure planning, and will provide regular coaching and mentoring of staff and students.
