The Central Investment Advisors Trainee/Junior Advisor (Trainee) position is an entry level position into Central Investment Advisors and works in various clerical and operational capacities with the CIA Management Group and in the CIA offices located throughout the various markets. This on-the-job training is structured to help provide the Trainee with basic knowledge and skills that they will need to be successful once the Trainee is assigned out to work in an individual office with CIA as a junior advisor or in another capacity. The Trainee/Junior Advisor (Trainee) will be required to fulfill all licensing requirements within a 6 month period of their start date. Licensing requirements include; the FINRA General Securities exam comprised of the SIE exam and a top-off exam, this is commonly referred to as a Series 7. In addition to this 2 part exam the Trainee will also need to obtain their Series 66; the Uniform Combined State Law exam as well as their Missouri (or resident state) Life and Health insurance licenses. All of these examinations are primarily self-study with only limited study time being available during work hours. The majority of the study time required for successful completion of these exams will be in after/non-work hours.
