Job Summary The Advisor, Risk Analysis supports the Company’s risk management and compliance efforts by conducting due diligence, assisting with investigations and litigation, and providing recommendations to business units and legal teams.

Requirements

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Criminal Justice, Political Science, International Relations, related field or foreign equivalent
  • 3 or more years of experience in risk analysis, investigations, or due diligence, preferably in a multinational or similar environment
  • Intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and ability to present information in graphic format

Nice To Haves

  • 3 or more years of experience in the oil & gas industry or with international investigations
  • Advanced level of proficiency in Spanish
  • Adaptable, team-oriented, and willingness to respond to urgent situations as needed

Responsibilities

  • Assist business units, legal teams, and other corporate functions by recommending appropriate levels of due diligence, consistent with company policies and standards
  • Conduct due diligence investigations of prospective and current business relationships, and in support of litigation and internal investigations
  • Gather and analyze information from public records, interviews, and online sources to assess reputation and risk of noncompliance with anti-corruption, economic sanctions, export controls, human rights, and other laws and regulations
  • Prepare and present concise written reports and visual summaries of research findings, compliance risks, and recommended mitigation strategies, working with subject matter experts and presenting results when appropriate
  • Collaborate with investigative consultants and help manage outsourced resources as needed
  • Support the Company’s compliance risk assessment and other projects as needed
