About The Position
Venture Global LNG (“Venture Global”) is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. The company’s two Louisiana-based export projects service the global demand for North American natural gas and support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies. Using reliable, proven technology in an innovative plant design configuration, Venture Global’s modular, mid-scale plant design will replace traditional designs as it allows for the same efficiency and operational reliability at significantly lower capital cost. This role shall report to the Venture Global LNG HSSE Manager. This person will serve as the immediate contact person for all Health & Safety standards, procedures, and HSSE management system related questions, concerns, or activities. This position will be based in Houston, Texas. The need to travel to project sites is anticipated to be 25 percent of overall time.
Requirements
- A minimum of five (5) years’ experience working as a Safety Technician or Specialist position.
- Experience in Health and Safety policies, procedures, and standards in Industrial operations, natural gas operations, or liquefaction facilities, and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability and comfort working within IT systems, Enablon, Sharepoint, and other IT related HSSE systems.
- Demonstrated ability to enter data, analyze and troubleshoot technical systems, and manage projects.
- Strong communication written and verbal skills.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams).
- Ability to work independently, with a high degree of accountability and accuracy.
- Eligible to work in the US, pass a drug test and background check with criminal history.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in technical writing a plus.
Responsibilities
- Lead the HSSE standard development and revision process.
- Point person for information technology related interfaces with the HSSE Management systems.
- Assist with reviewing safety training content for accuracy and providing content updates where necessary to meet regulatory and VG requirements.
- Conduct field reviews of locations to ensure compliance with appropriate programs, plans, and training.
- Complete other business tasks as assigned.
