About The Position

The Advisor Group Coordinator role will provide operational and organizational support for a Thrivent Advisor Group. The Advisor Group Coordinator is responsible for performing Advisor Group operational tasks, such as triaging incoming requests related to members and FAs, managing multiple types of data, and executing on project plans with excellence and accuracy, exercising sound judgment as they work to execute on key strategies and tactics. The role will play an overall support role for the Advisor Group Support Manager, Leader of Group Operations, and front-line field leaders by using their knowledge, judgment, and expertise to resolve issues and questions that do not have clear answers or direction. This can be a remote position located within our South-Central Advisor Group (TX, MO, OK, KS, IA, KY, TN, AK, MS, AL, IN, LA, or IL, OH).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Communications or related areas, or equivalency in related acquired training and experience.
  • 4+ years of experience with project or process management, complex multi-tasking activities or similar experience.
  • Demonstrated project management skills - success in managing, prioritizing, and organizing multiple projects at once.
  • Excellent communication skills - oral, written, presentation and interpersonal.
  • Proven ability to think proactively to anticipate needs and prepare accordingly.
  • Demonstrated sound decision-making skills and service-minded attitude.
  • Strong execution skills, with excellent attention to detail and strong follow through.
  • Proven ability to maintain the highest ethical and professional standards.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite; ability to learn other software (Salesforce, etc.).
  • Flexibility to work both remotely and in a specific location as required.
  • Ability to travel as needed (up to 10%).

Nice To Haves

  • 6+ years of experience in the financial services industry, project or process management or similar experience.
  • Excellent business acumen with knowledge of organization and understanding of a variety of business areas.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing incoming requests to the Advisor Group, providing information and directing to the appropriate stakeholder for decisions as needed.
  • Review processes and procedures and use best practices to make recommendations for changes and improvements.
  • Identify solutions and resolve issues with leaders and key stakeholders when the owner or decision maker is not identified.
  • Supports Advisor Group strategic efforts and programs, including preparing and managing Advisor Group level communications (newsletters, PowerPoint presentations, etc.) that are accurate, concise and compelling.
  • Providing project coordination and tracking of critical details related to culture building activities, such as the Three Pillars events and other Advisor Group leadership events.
  • Responsible for run-the-business tasks for the Advisor Group, using sound judgment to complete tasks, escalating as necessary.
  • Working with Advisor Group leaders and Financial Technicians to ensure expenses are processed as needed.
  • Collaborating with Senior Field Risk Manager and others to ensure key data for training files and incentives is tracked and maintained in accordance with enterprise supervision guidelines.
  • Provides end to end coordination of reassignment process for Advisor Group and communicating with centralized assignment team.
  • Support overall office management needs and processes.
  • Assist hiring managers with coordination of resources to enable smooth starts for new employees (leaders and staff).
  • Support other projects or processes as a key resource for the Advisor Group Support Manager and Leader of Group Operations as other issues and tasks arise.
