About The Position

Financial Planning & Analysis contributes to Cardinal Health Finance by overseeing the accounting, tax, financial plans and policies of the organization, establishing and maintaining fiscal controls, preparing and interpreting financial reports, overseeing financial systems, and safeguarding the organization's assets. Financial Planning & Analysis provides strategic partnership and objective guidance to business units. It leads cross-functional efforts to enable forward-looking, actionable insights with a focus on driving strategic value that influences key business decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in finance preferred.
  • Experience within transportation, logistics, or supply chain environments preferred.
  • Proven track record of building strong business partnerships with systems and operations teams.
  • Solid understanding of financial principles, cost accounting, and budgeting processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to present complex data to non-financial stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Support Global Supply Chain Transportation Finance team in achieving financial goals, managing key Partner closely with transportation systems and operations teams to provide financial insights and support strategic initiatives.
  • Support and maintain financial models to forecast transportation costs, assess performance, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports related to transportation spend and operational KPIs.
  • Analyze variances between actual results, budgets, and forecasts, providing actionable recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Support budgeting and planning cycles for transportation and logistics functions.
  • Monitor and report on transportation trends, regulatory changes, and market dynamics impacting financial performance.
