About The Position

The Advisor, Employee Benefits is responsible for developing and sustaining client relationships while functioning as their risk manager in the Employee Benefits vertical of commercial insurance. This position targets mid-size businesses. Seizes every opportunity to exceed sales goals.

Requirements

  • Through understanding of policies and best practices of insurance and risk management
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with internal and external clients.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficient with or able to quickly learn the software and applications used in the organization.
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently independently, and within a team environment.
  • Ability to understand and manage complex insurance placements.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of Employee Benefits experience.
  • Minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • General Lines-Life Accident Health & HMO license required or obtainable within new hire introductory period.
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License.

Nice To Haves

  • Mid-large employee benefits accounts sales experience highly preferred
  • Insurance industry professional designations preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with midsize businesses while functioning as a risk manager.
  • Manages and services existing book of business.
  • Creates sales pipeline which includes prospects that meet the profile of the ideal Brady, Chapman, Holland & Associates, Inc., client.
  • Utilizes sales tools and methods promoted by Brady, Chapman, Holland & Associates, Inc., to identify, qualify, develop, and cultivate prospects and clients into revenue producing relationships.
  • Builds and maintains strong and effective relationships with decision makers and executives of organizations.
  • Meets with potential and current clients to discuss adequacy of existing insurance coverage and related risk management resources.
  • Explains various insurance policies and products to potential and existing clients; guides clients in selecting coverage to best meet their needs.
  • Suggests modifications and updates to clients’ existing insurance policies and risk management products.
  • Builds customized insurance policies and packages to meet clients’ needs.
  • Ensure insurance policy renewals occur in a timely manner.
  • Recognize and identify opportunities to cross sell insurance/risk management products.
  • Attends sales strategy meetings whether internal or with insurance carrier partner.
