About The Position

Deal Management contributes to Cardinal Health Revenue Management by developing, communicating, and leading the execution of market strategy and profitability optimization through pricing and value-capture activities at both the strategic and tactical levels. The group uses modeling, analytics, and econometrics to create pricing strategies for our products and services. Deal Management owns the entire pre-deal process, including collaborating with sales to translate offer strategy into a customer-specific deal strategy and pricing, facilitating the deal approval process and related governance, and financial modeling of deal economics across a variety of scenarios. This job family is also responsible for validating our contracts have the appropriate terms and conditions prior to finalizing the relationship.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field preferred, or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in Revenue Management, Commercial, Finance, and/or Strategy roles preferred.
  • Track record of achieving results and the ability to clearly identify and communicate a vision and strategy.
  • Success in working closely with business and sales leaders on growth strategies and introducing new approaches into the marketplace.
  • Strong personal drive to excel and set an example for teams across the organization.
  • Personal inquisitiveness to find opportunities to enhance results.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Specialty and Physician Office business by developing deals for existing and new business opportunities.
  • Partner with Sales, Operations, Finance, and other key functions to create financial forecasts for customer proposals, understand key drivers, and effectively communicate recommendations to senior management.
  • Perform customer and product spend analysis.
  • Identify opportunities to drive revenue growth and ensure market competitive terms.
  • Understand market dynamics and competitors.
  • Conduct complex analysis, synthesize and summarize implications to business, partnering with various teams using analytics and business understanding.
  • Facilitate the deal approval process to ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
  • Serve as an objective financial steward with an enterprise perspective, safeguarding our company's assets.
  • Ensure strong controls are in place and the company's intellectual property is protected.
  • Assist the contracting team with ensuring that approved terms are incorporated into customer agreements.
