The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) invites applications for the position of Advising Innovation Manager within the Student Academic Success - Advising Practice. This role is pivotal in enhancing the academic advising community's fluency and utilization of the Rebel Success Hub (RSH), a Salesforce EDA platform. The Advising Innovation Manager will manage change in advising practices, oversee reporting, and support staff across advising and academic affairs through effective communication and training opportunities. The primary goal is to implement and oversee centralized campus-wide student success initiatives delivered through RSH, aiming to reduce advising activities that occur outside the system of record for the campus. Key responsibilities include developing and documenting standard work practices for all advisors, coordinating the creation of business practices, knowledge articles, and automated processes to ensure a premier student experience in RSH. The position will also involve creating content for automated and ad hoc campaigns, communications, success plans, tasks, and alerts related to advising, retention, progression, and completion for all continuing undergraduate students. The Advising Innovation Manager will assess and analyze student success initiatives, design proactive outreach strategies, and standardize advising practices to ensure equitable outcomes and accessibility for specific populations. In addition, this role will oversee the student success practices of the RSH platform, assisting the advising community with troubleshooting, reporting user experience issues, managing reporting requests, and facilitating user training. The position will coordinate operational elements of complex success and retention initiatives mandated by UNLV, the Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE), professional associations, and accreditation agencies. The Advising Innovation Manager will serve as an expert voice in advancing student-centered and equity-minded programs and strategies, ensuring that undergraduate students experience seamless progression through the functionalities available in RSH, including self-service, appointment scheduling, and resolution of obstacles to their continued enrollment. This position is critical for the AVPSS team, especially given the increased emphasis on student success, eliminating achievement gaps, proactive advising, and data-informed decisions.
