About The Position

The Advertising Technology Manager at John Wiley & Sons Inc. is responsible for managing the advertising technology roadmap to support the Audience Solutions team in achieving commercial sales goals. This role requires a deep understanding of the global advertising ecosystem, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to analyze and improve advertising technology capabilities. The manager will collaborate with various teams to enhance workflows and drive strategic technology initiatives.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills to present to external clients and collaborate with internal stakeholders.
  • Strong advocacy for experimentation as a framework for learning and achieving business outcomes.
  • Proven track record of Advertising Technology management and product ownership with the ability to support integrations with existing technologies.
  • Ability to identify process and workflow improvements for Ad Tech and connected teams.
  • Experience managing technical escalations for troubleshooting to support Ad Ops and Ad Tech coordinators.
  • Collaborative approach to develop strategies, solutions, and architectures to achieve business goals.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with publishing platforms and programmatic advertising.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the integration, implementation, management, and optimization of the product portfolio that supports the Wiley Partner Solutions Ad Tech Stack.
  • Understand the needs of publishers, partners, and corporate sales, and work closely with the Business Development team and technology teams to deliver on these needs.
  • Provide leadership to cross-functional teams by setting priorities and providing a strategic technology vision.
  • Act as a strategic partner and influence colleagues across the organization to drive solutions.
  • Develop and execute a near and long-term technology roadmap that will drive incremental value to the business.
  • Implement and monitor beta/pilot programs.
  • Prioritize, develop, and document business requirements.
  • Establish, monitor, and report on KPIs.
  • Plan, position, and communicate product updates to colleagues, customers, and partners.
