About The Position
Palace Entertainment is a leading leisure park operator in the United States and Australia, overseeing more than 25 entertainment venues, hotels, and educational venues across 11 different states. As a subsidiary of Parques Reunidos, Palace Entertainment operates some of the country's largest and most prestigious venues, including National Historic Landmark Kennywood Park and America's Oldest Amusement Park, Lake Compounce. The Adventureland Park - Phantom Fall Fest Scare Actor position is designed for individuals who are enthusiastic about acting and creativity, willing to transform into frightening characters through full makeovers and costuming, including the use of masks. This role is integral to providing guests with an immersive and frightful experience by working in haunted mazes, scare zones, or as roaming actors. Scare Actors will be responsible for scaring guests as they enter the haunts and scare zones located throughout the park. They must greet all guests in the scariest way possible while maintaining control and awareness to minimize any escalation of situations where a guest may become overly scared. It is essential for Scare Actors to remain in costume and makeup throughout their scheduled shifts, ensuring that they contribute to the overall atmosphere of the event. Additionally, they must maintain a safe environment by keeping an appropriate distance from guests, ensuring escape routes are clear, and adhering to safety standards. Other job duties may be assigned as needed, making this a dynamic and engaging role within the park.
