We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Adventure Outpost Attendant to join our team. The primary job of our attendants is to provide excellent customer service, maintain rental equipment, manage the daily operations of Adventure Outpost facility, and educate guests on paddle techniques and provide a safe and fun rental experience. 
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Additional duties may be assigned.  Management retains the discretion to change or add to the duties of this position at any time.
Greet guests and provide information about rental rates, policies, and safety procedures
Be knowledgeable about Park happenings to better assist our guests.
Assist guests with selecting the appropriate equipment for their skill level and intended use.
Ensure that all renters are properly fitted with life jackets and paddles before entering the water.
Provide basic instruction on kayak/SUP paddling technique and safety guidelines to renters as needed.
Monitor the waterways to ensure renters are safe and following all safety guidelines.
Maintain rental equipment, including cleaning and inspecting kayaks, SUP, paddles, and life jackets before and after each use.
Manage the rental schedule and POS system.  
Keep accurate records of rentals, payments, and maintenance activities.
Handle guest complaints or issues in a professional and timely manner.
Assist with general facility maintenance and cleaning tasks as needed.
Be able and willing to work all Adventure Outpost activities including rock walls and water taxi deckhand.
All other duties as assigned.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Fluency in English language, both written and verbal, is required.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be able to display proper belaying techniques as described in the standard operating procedures.
The ability to collaborate effectively with coworkers is essential.
The role requires the ability to work various shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Strong communication skills and professional conduct with both guests and colleagues are expected.
The ability to present information and respond to questions in a clear and concise manner to both guests and employees is required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to swim and familiarity with basic water safety procedures preferred.
Experience working in a similar customer service role preferred.
Basic knowledge of kayaking / SUP techniques and equipment preferred.
First Aid and CPR certification preferred.

Ability to lift and move rental equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.

Must have physical dexterity sufficient to perform repetitive tasks and motions, including bending at the waist and knees, squatting, kneeling, stooping, and sustaining those positions for extended amounts of time.
Specific vision requirements for this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to focus and night vision.
