Adventure Facilitators lead outdoor programming primarily for youth and adult groups at the TimberRidge Adventure Center. Outdoor programming may include low ropes teambuilding challenge course, high ropes climbing challenge course, archery, BB guns, boating, fishing, survival skills and similar outdoor adventures. Facilitators are responsible for guiding small groups through these activities safely, helping them learn to communicate effectively, building trust with each other, and working together. All training is provided for successful applicants, with the opportunity to receive certifications within the field of outdoor education. Starting Salary: $17.25 per hour. Scheduling is flexible, but our facilitators typically choose to work 2 – 5 days a week by picking their shifts through our online scheduling program. During the summer months, facilitators typically work 5 days a week/ 40hrs

Requirements

  • Minimum age: 18 years and older.
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Must be able to attend and successfully pass training at TimberRidge Adventure Center.
  • Work schedule is varied and can be during the week and/or on weekends.
  • Must be willing to obtain CPR & First Aid Certificate (training available).
  • JCPRD requires reference/background screening for all positions. Specified criteria may vary by Department.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with youth, challenge course, teambuilding, and/or environmental education preferred.
