In this role you will Install and maintain hardware and software at Agency work locations throughout the State. In addition, you will independently develop, modify, test and maintain the Agency web site utilizing web-based technologies and development tools, including Adobe Creative Cloud Suite; SharePoint Designer; and Visual Studio.   • Under administrative direction, serves as an Advanced Web Development/Support Technical Specialist for the Department of Innovation & Technology (DoIT) supporting the Department of Commerce & Economic Opportunity (DCEO) performing complex professional and advisory functions within the DoIT/ DCEO Technical Services section.
  • Develops, modifies, tests and maintains the Agency web site utilizing web-based technologies and development tools.
  • Provides application support for international travelers from the Agency.
  • Keeps abreast of new developments in the information technology field by continuing education through online training platforms, meetings, training sessions, seminars, and conferences to increase familiarity with and remain current on products, vendors, techniques, and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned that are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
  • Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to four (4) years of college with courses in computer science or in a related field.
  • Requires three (3) years of professional experience in web development or a related Information Technology field.
  • Requires three (3) years of professional experience providing technical support to agency end-users, including diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues involving applications, and peripheral devices across multiple agency locations.
  • Requires three (3) years of professional experience designing, developing, administering, and supporting solutions using Microsoft 365 technologies, including SharePoint, Teams, and related tools, with responsibilities that include user training, issue resolution, and collaboration platform management.
  • Requires three (3) years of professional experience performing web site development, testing and maintenance using Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, SharePoint Designer, and Visual Studio.
  • Three (3) years of professional experience providing technical support to agency end-users, including diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues involving applications, and peripheral devices across multiple agency locations.
  • Three (3) years of professional experience designing, developing, administering, and supporting solutions using Microsoft 365 technologies, including SharePoint, Teams, and related tools, with responsibilities that include user training, issue resolution, and collaboration platform management.
  • Three (3) years of professional experience performing web site development, testing and maintenance using Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, SharePoint Designer, and Visual Studio.
  • Three (3) years of professional experience managing web content using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), including troubleshooting and resolving complex content management issues.
  • Three (3) years of professional experience providing technical support for mobile devices and remote users, including configuration and testing of international travel equipment.
  • Extensive knowledge of web accessibility standards, including WCAG 2.1 and Section 508, with a strong understanding of best practices for ensuring compliance and collaborating with accessibility teams.
  • Working knowledge of IT security policies and procedures, including support for audit readiness, access controls, and incident response activities.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with agency staff, technical teams, and external partners to support web development, application support, and end-user technology solutions.
  • Developed oral and written communication skills to clearly explain technical concepts, support user understanding, and document processes or solutions.
