Requirements

  • Must have at least five (5) consecutive rated years as a Special Forces Operational Detachment (Alpha (SFODA) Operations Sergeant.
  • Must have a graduate certification from the USAJFKSWC SFARTAETC, Ranger School course, and possess Special Forces Weapons Sergeant skills.
  • Must have at least three (3) years served as SFAUC Cadre and at least one (1) year as SFAUC Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge (NCOIC).
  • Must be a United States citizen.
  • Must have a TS/SCI clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred to hold a graduate certification from USAJFKSWC Special Forces Sniper Course (SFSC) Level 1.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain/maintain vehicle operator license and/or applicable certifications to operate military vehicles and operate such vehicles at Government discretion.
  • Be appropriately knowledgeable/experienced in order to serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Direct Action Operations in Special Operations.
  • Have an extensive knowledge of the 5th Special Forces Group Airborne (SFG (A)) Area of Responsibility (AOR) and operation areas.
  • Required to hold a graduate certification from the USAJFKSWC SFARTAETC, Ranger School course, and possess Special Forces Weapons Sergeant skills.
  • Preferred to hold a graduate certification from USAJFKSWC Special Forces Sniper Course (SFSC) Level 1.
  • Have at least five (5) consecutive rated years as a Special Forces Operational Detachment (Alpha (SFODA) Operations Sergeant.
  • Have at least three (3) years served as SFAUC Cadre and at least one (1) year as SFAUC Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge (NCOIC).
  • Possess and be able to maintain an active Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (TS/SCI) Clearance to facilitate Electronic Warfare (EW) training.
  • Must have deployed and served as a Team Sergeant and Ground Forces Sergeant Major in real-world Direct-Action Combat Operations.
  • Assist command personnel with and facilitate monthly inventories of all equipment, as
  • Provide assistance to SFAUC NCOIC and Cadre in their administration, preparation and field instruction for Low Visibility Tactics (LVT), Flat Range, Shoot House, Urban Movement, Convoy Operations, Full Mission Profile, and Culmination Exercise
  • Assist in reporting student progression and course quality to appropriate Government.
  • Provide assistance in all facets of the SFAUC, Special Forces Sniper Course Level II (SFSCII) and Advanced Skills Company (ASC) Arms room, to include physical security, obtain and maintain Arms room access to supplement the arms room manager, and assist with facility maintenance in accordance with Fort Campbell, United States Army, United Supports Army Special Forces Command (USASOC) and 1st Special Forces Command (1st SFC) regulations.
  • Assist in and facilitate as needed the draw, turn-in, accountability, storage, issue, transportation and proper maintenance of all SFAUC ammunition, demolitions and dunnage.
  • Assist in the accountability and maintenance of all SFAUC weapons, optics, communications equipment and other associated section equipment.
  • Assist SFAUC in scheduling necessary range and training areas to achieve course.
  • Assist with research for new techniques and technologies for force modernization and interface with S-8 section at 5th SFG(A). Recommendations will be provided to appropriate Government personnel.
  • Maintain accurate hand receipts and assist with the following: key and lock control, land management support, maintenance of vehicles, maintenance of building and grounds, suggested design of SFAUC, training areas, and ranges; assist in the conduct of scouting and provide input to the Government for the development of training areas.
  • Provide assistance to ODAs in testing and fielding of associated equipment during SFAUC and LVT.
  • Assist in accountability of students, their progress during courses, and communication for ranges.
  • Assist with coordination and/or interface with Fort Campbell Range Control to coordinate usage of Unmanned Aerial Surveillance (UAS) during training, perform range Officer in Charge (OIC) and Range Safety Officer (RSO) duties as directed by appropriate Government officials.
  • Assist with revision, development and recommendations for current and future Programs of Instruction (POI) and visual aids to include integration of UAS/First Person Video (FPV).
  • Advise the chain of command on equipment shortcomings and range status.
  • Support all SFAUC training outside of Fort Campbell, KY as needed with coordination, planning, instruction, transportation of equipment, personnel and ammunition and travel with mileage unlimited.
  • Attend training with DoD and private vendors to maintain up to date understanding of Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), emerging technologies, and also evaluate lessons learned.
