In collaboration with the rest of the organization, the Advanced Tax Services team will work closely with our customers to maximize the value of Dayforce products and services. This role will have a strong focus on relationship management, commercial growth, customer retention and advocacy, and the broader payroll tax KPI’s delivered to clients with medium to high levels of complexity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree plus 3-5 years related experience, or master’s degree plus 3+ years related experience, or equivalent combination education and related experience.
  • Strong relationship management and project management expertise, analytical skills, and the ability to engage and motivate multiple stakeholders across the organization.
  • Excellent and effective communication and leadership skills with the ability to present to customers, impact, and influence results from multiple internal partners.
  • Strong negotiation and consultative skills required.
  • Intimate understanding of Dayforce’s tax filing processes.
  • Minimum of 5 years of U.S. payroll tax experience, with strong working knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proven expertise in conducting payroll tax reconciliations, including quarter-end and year-end balancing, resolving variances, and ensuring accurate filings and payments.
  • Demonstrated experience registering employers with state, and local tax agencies, including new account setup, agency correspondence, and account maintenance.
  • Hands-on experience managing and supporting local payroll taxes (city, county, school district, and other jurisdictional taxes) across multiple states.
  • Minimum 3 years of client-facing support, issue resolution, and regulatory compliance management.

Responsibilities

  • Drive customer satisfaction by meeting with clients to create tax initiatives based on their specific business needs and aligning them with industry best practices in the payroll tax space. This can include training on Quarter-End/Year-End activities, tax notice prioritization, and/or assistance applying for agency registrations.
  • Conduct health assessments using trend analyses of a client’s tax profile, focusing on controllable problem areas or costs and developing plans to assist with remediation. Be able to effectively drive practical solutions while solving problems using independent analysis and judgment.
  • Conduct regular trainings that explain the roles & responsibilities between the client and Ceridian regarding tax filing and value-added services.
  • Help drive revenue by pursuing qualified leads and delivering quantifiable value.
  • Identify gaps in the payroll tax service delivery model and provide input towards new processes/plans to improve operations & customer satisfaction.
  • Improve overall client experience by acting as a point of contact for customer escalations and improving service experienced by the customers. Possess the knowledge and ability to de-escalate customer issues and concerns.
  • Maintain an understanding of the Dayforce’s products, value added services, support model, and internal stakeholders that are responsible for the end-to-end service delivery.
  • Champion Dayforce’s brand, products, people, and process to demonstrate value.
